What Is a Book Promotion Site, How They Work, and A Few Examples
Book Promotion Site Examples For Your Book Marketing Plan
We live in an amazing time, authors. There are so many online sites that offer services to promote your book. You may have thought of the following questions regarding online sites that promote books.
Where are these book promotions sites?
What is the service they perform, How do they work?
Do their services work?
How much do they cost?
What is the number of eyes on the promotion?
This post includes a link where you can access a beautiful chart that I discovered prepared by The Kindlepreneur, Dave Chesson.
There are many book promotion sites where you can pay to have the site promote your book.
How do the book promotion sites work?
The book promotion sites share your book with all of their followers, subscribers, influencers, etc. The idea is that your book gets exposure to readers and book buyers, along with a link to purchase your book, many times offered at a discount.
What are some examples of book promotion book sites?
I’ve talked about BookBub as a place where you can promote your book: article here and here. BookBub has a new releases for less program - a promotion choice for your book’s launch. After the book launch you could take advantage of their featured deal program. In each program, you submit your book for inclusion in the program. If accepted, you then pay for your book to be a part of the promotion. BookBub has a good track record for book sale results from these promotions. The success of a BookBub promotion makes sense to me because the BookBub universe is comprised of book readers and book buyers. Also, and even better, your promotion would be targeted to BookBub readers who read your book’s genre. That’s what every author wants, correct? Every author wants to get their book in front of readers who already desire to buy their book’s genre!
Bargain Booksy is another book promotion site that offers reasonably priced promotion of books targeted to book buyers who already desire your book by genre. Owned by Written Word Media, Bargain Booksy is just one of the book promotions offered. They are continuing to come up with new ways to promote books and to get them matched with the book readers who desire them. I have a podcast interview with Written Word Media coming up… more to come.
I have used both of these companies to promote my book, co-authored with Julie Murkette, Get Your Book Seen and Sold, and we have been pleased with the results. I promoted with both organizations during book launch week and our book hit #1 on Amazon.

Dave Chesson, the Kindlepreneur, put together a fancy-dancy, organized list that you can download. Here is the link where you can find his spreadsheet. Dave asks for your email in order to get his spreadsheet, which is a lesson in itself. He collects emails of potential customers by offering a valuable free tool. If you would rather not add your email, here is a detailed post with sites that Mr Chesson generously wrote.
I hope you find his list useful and add book promotion sites to your book marketing plan at launch and after at intermittent times. Clustering book promotion outreach is also a good idea. Group three book promotions at the same time. For example, you could book a Bookbub featured deal, with a Bargain Booksy promotion, alongside an Amazon Ad.
Organizations that offer help with Amazon Ad and Facebook Ad promotions is another book marketing resource round-up post that is coming up.
